We'll have this gorgeous short sundress with frilled bikini pants at Kraftbomb tomorrow. The print fabric is 100% cotton and the plain cotton/spandex. The dress buttons down the side and the back has a deep v neckline ending at the bow detail. The dress and bikini pants are $45. The matching hat (pictured) is fully reversible and available for $15.

The print fabric is a very fresh colour - better than shown in the photo.

November Kraftbomb

Gosh, we are slack bloggers - we'll aim to improve. Sewing and knitting came to an abrupt halt as we've been getting our parents house ready to sell.

We do have a couple of new items to bring along to Kraftbomb this Sunday - 28 November. Grey Lynn Community Centre - 510 Richmond Road - 11am to 2pm.

We have two linen shifts (size 1 year plus and 2 years plus) trimmed with the most beautiful guipure lace - a treasure found in Mum's sewing cabinet.

We have a handknitted mohair blend throw and 3 mohair blend scarves - pictured rolled up on the throw.

Lastly I am now sewing some 3/4 trousers made out of a gorgeous cotton/linen fabric. I'm also making reversible hats in the same fabric - one side spotted, the other floral.

Better get sewing our won't get all the hats and trousers made.

Baby's Carrying Coat

Just before we moved last year we were lucky enough to be sent some fabulous old patterns from a woman in Katikati. This week I made a baby's carrying coat adapted from one of her patterns - I'll have to send her some photos. I also made the tradional bonnet from the pattern. The pattern was of an unlined coat but I have lined it - the lining hem is finished with a lace edge. The photos need a bit of imagination as the coat hanger is too long so the shape across the shoulders is not quite right. Unfortunately the bonnet photos are not much better - I really need a baby model!
